Database Administrator - Full Time

The Database Administrator’s role is to design, install, monitor, maintain, and continuously improve the company’s database needs. The work involved should focus on ensuring high levels of data security and availability. The ideal candidate for this position should be well versed in DBMS technologies, with 2-5 years of experience working with high volume data stores.


  • Assess and develop long-term strategic goals for all data stores
  • Work with the Tech leadership team to develop database architectures, coding standards, and quality assurance policies and procedures.
  • Assist the Systems Admin to create redundant systems, policies, and procedures for disaster recovery and data archiving to preserve the integrity of data assets.
  • Conduct research and make recommendations on database products, services, protocols, and standards.
  • Create models for new database development and/or changes to existing ones.
  • Respond to and resolve database access and performance issues in a timely manner.
  • Thoroughly monitor databases, such as query execution times, and implement efficiency improvements.
  • Plan and coordinate data migrations between systems as needed.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain change controls for modifications to databases.
  • Perform database transaction and security audits.
  • Establish appropriate database access control levels.


  • BS degree in the field of computer science or database administration.
  • 2-5 years work experience with big data.
  • Hands-on experience with MySQL, PostgreSQL, NoSQL(DynamoDB), RDS, Aurora, Redis, and Snowflake DB.
  • Excellent knowledge of data backup, recovery, security, integrity and SQL.
  • Knowledge of and experience implementing applicable data security practices.
  • Capable of staying focused in work-from-home environment

SQL Analyst - Full Time

The candidate will use their experience with SQL to create reports on existing processes, to monitor for potential points of failure, and to provide analytical insights during testing and development of new models and business practices.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of data-sets, business rules, and how to create visual representations to serve the team’s mission. In addition, the SQL Analyst will collaborate with the team to design optimizations, one-off experiments, and tests such as A/B tests, with the aim of producing new reports and usable data.

The ideal candidate will not only have strong analytical aptitude and prior SQL experience, but also will need to be confident in having exceptional independent time management to succeed in this remote work environment.
